Hatch

A Hatch was the name of each Kari family. Each Hatch included twenty to thirty Kari individuals that all shared a single name and personality. An insectoid species with a hive-like consciousness, one single Kari was nothing more than a mindless drone while a group of 100 Kari could be able to solve advanced mathematical equations. It is believed that if all Kari of Karideph would've focused on the same matter at the same time they could've been able to think through problems of abstract philosophy at a far deeper level than most humans. The Kari consciousness expressed itself through bards, talented Karis which each Hatch possessed at least one of and who would've preserved the history of the Hatch and 'sing' it to other Hatches.
