A heart transplant was a medical procedure in which a patient's failing heart was removed and the replaced with a healthy heart. N'do Maetrecis, a soldier fighting for the Republic in the Clone Wars in 20 BBY, was badly wounded by shrapnel on Drongar and needed a heart transplant.
