Imperial Peace Tax

The Imperial Peace Tax was a tax paid by subjects of the Galactic Empire during its reign. In 18 BBY, the human man Korin Aphra was doing research about the Ordu Aspectu—a splinter group of the Jedi Order he was obsessed with—and suggested to his wife Lona Aphra that he could find a way to restore them. In response, Lona sarcastically remarked to her husband that if the group were restored, the Ordu Aspectu could help them pay their Imperial Peace Tax.
