Kalak

Kalaks were nimble, quadrupedal animals native to the planet Roon. They were known for their fast overland traveling speeds, reaching up to 60 kilometers per hour unladen at full gallop, making them common choices as mounts for messengers carrying information or goods. Kalaks had many prominent teeth protruding at odd angles from their jaws that allowed to to eat low-lying tree leaves by stripping them from low branches, though they could be used defensively to tear flesh from aggressors.
