Khan

Khan, also known as Izvoshra Khan, was a military rank within the Kaleesh military structure known as the Kolkpravis. At anyone time there was only ever eight Khans each of whom directly served the supreme Kaleesh military commander known as the Khagan, collectively they were known as the Izvoshra. Each Khan's khanate consisted of several brigades each lead by a Baatar to whom the Khan's usually left most of the control of the army as they personally were too busy carrying out special missions for the Khagan.

Grievous almost lost his life in the event of his shuttle, the Martyr, and thought to have killed every member of the Izvoshra. After Grievous joined the Separatists as their military leader, they were replaced with the IG-100 series MagnaGuard combat droids to serve him as bodyguards. Grievous, however, never truly embraced them as Khans, since they couldn't assist him with military counsel and their loyalty wasn't freely given, but rather encoded into their brains.
