Lampfish

Lampfish were predators that lived and hunted in the perpetual darkness of Dac's deep oceans that attracted prey with a bio-luminescent tongue. They could grow ten meters long, though specimens as much as forty meters in length have been recorded. The lampfish had a massive head filled with jagged teeth and beady eyes. The rest of its body was tiny in comparison. They would use their brightly-glowing tongue to lure prey, mesmerized by its light, right into their jaws. Despite this, the lampfish was not particularly aggressive, and simply swims through the ocean with its mouth open. They were, however, fiercely territorial and would often fight with other fish that enter their hunting grounds. When caught by fishermen, the tongue was used as part of Calamarian cuisine.
