Lanius of Ucret

Lanius of Ucret was an individual who shared their name with the Core Worlds' Ucret system. At one point they noted that change was an essential element of the experience of sentient life and that therefore believing that an institution could remain unchanged for an extended period of time was not reasonable. Lanius of Ucret further specified that static societies were essentially undergoing the process of dying. In 104 ABY, Doctor Gabrel Treon quoted Lanius of Ucret's thoughts on the inevitability of change in the article "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Praji: A Cartel of Genes," published in the Byblos Journal of Historical Science.
