The LE-8 sensor dampener was produced by Santhe Corporation during the the Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. Designed for use in starfighters, it dampened nearby enemies' sensors by a jamming signal that "piggybacked" on a target's sensor scans.
