Magus (hilt)

Canon Linked from 5 articles

Magus was a style of lightsaber hilt that came in both single and double-bladed varieties. Lightsabers wrought in the style featured emitters with two spike-like protrusions on either side, and elaborate engravings. The hilt then tapered off into a square-patterned section which connected to a ringed handgrip and pointed pommel. For the double-bladed styles, the pommels connected together.

By 14 BBY, the fallen Jedi General Taron Malicos wielded two identical lightsabers fashioned in the Magus style during his time on the planet Dathomir as the leader of a clan of the Nightbrother warrior group. These sabers were comprised of mainly bronze, as well as a chrome colored alloy highlights, a black grip, and emitted scarlet blades. In 14 BBY, Malicos wielded his Magus lightsabers against Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis during the latter's excursion to Dathomir as part of a secret mission to rebuild the Jedi Order.
