A mesobanis timer was a blaster rifle component that was referenced in a short story by an anonymous individual that was circulated on the Cularin holonet node during the Clone Wars. The story depicted the protagonist Nightwing, an enlisted soldier in the Thaereian military, experiencing a jam in his MX9 blaster rifle; the superior officer Commander Kulkis queried whether Nightwing had tried adjusting the mesobanis timer on the weapon.
