Mielps were a group that inhabited the galaxy. During a crisis in which the planet Ansion threatened to secede from the Galactic Republic, at least three Mielps were present in the Ansionian city of Cuipernam. Traveling through a Cuipernan marketplace carrying shopping bags nearly matching their own size, they forced Jedi Master Luminara Unduli to move to avoid them during her mission to Ansion in 22 BBY.
