Neural disruptors were devices similar to collars attached to prisoners' necks to incapacitate them. Brejik used this device on Bastila Shan, only to be outwitted by the Jedi, who managed to resist it and take it off with help from the Force.

Force fields could also be equipped with neural disruptors. As soon as the field is touched, a vicious electrical charge burns through the victim's nervous system, paralyzing them with agonizing pain. Cells aboard the shuttle taking prisoners from the Imperial Star Destroyer Desolator to the secret Imperial Naval Base on Miser were equipped with neural disruptor fields.
