Canon Legends version → Linked from 3 articles
A parang was a weapon after which Parang Squad was named. In 88 BBY, Jedi Initiates Dooku and Sifo-Dyas snuck into the Archive of Forbidden Artifacts, a prohibited section of the Jedi Temple Archives on the planet Coruscant, and saw several artifacts, with the latter wondering if he saw a parang.
