A passive mode sensor was a type of sensor. The Millennium Falcon was equipped with passive sensors located in the forward mandibles that extended around the entire ship. Upsilon-class command shuttles were equipped with multiple passive mode sensors. The sensors were located on the shuttles' wings near the primary sensor node.
