Phosovane salts were a base ingredient for painkiller medicines commonly used on Rim Worlds. They were the main source of revenue for the Exalted Torgaigne crime syndicate, which operated out of Attahox.

While he was supposed to be escorting Princess Leia Organa to a rebel trade conference on Daalang, Han Solo made a stop on Attahox to smuggle out some phosovane salts under the syndicate's nose. However, Solo's smuggling attempt was discovered by Torgaigne boss Vor Childermoss, who pursued the Millennium Falcon off the planet and into the Hellhoop.
