Proton hydrotorpedo

A proton hydrotorpedo was an aquatic weapon sometimes used in the seas of Lamaredd.

These torpedoes locked on to targets using guidance circuitry, and avoided every friendly vehicle. The torpedo would move at high speeds, c. 1 km/second, until reaching the target or traveling three kilometers, at which point it simply sank. Although animals were unable to dodge this, sentient skippers could try their best to.

This was an effective weapon but too expensive for most of the fishermen. Ubrikkian BBK Repulsorsubs had proton hydrotorpedo launchers.
