The red pearl was a pearl owned by an Unidentified amphibious sentient species in a grotto deep under the surface of Sunshine Lake on the Forest Moon of Endor. The red pearl helped grow food pearls, the main food source of the species. After the red pearl was destroyed in 3 ABY during a confrontation with the tyrant Orcon, it was replaced by a blue pearl that was even more powerful.
