Sacred Aeries

The Sacred Aeries was a central part of the S'kytri religion. S'kytri considered themselves to be superior to non-flying species, and as such "walkers" were deemed to be profane to the Sacred Aeries, as was living amongst them. S'kytri who chose to live life on the ground such as the Outland Clan were also considered to be profane and therefore unworthy candidates for governance. High technology weapons, such as munitions, were also profane to the Sacred Aeries. The S'kytri were offended by the Galactic Empire establishing munitions factories on their homeworld, Skye, but as they had pledged an oath of fealty to the Empire they tolerated their presence.
