Sand-buzzer

Legends

Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.

The sand-buzzer was a security device that emitted an electronic field to drive away small burrowing pest animals, such as scurriers.

Commonly employed on Tatooine, many moisture farms had sand-buzzers surrounding the homestead to damage to the property, particularly the sunken walls of the homestead courtyards.
