Scion massacre

Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.

The Scion massacre was ordered by Eternal Empire Emperor Arcann soon after he took the Eternal Throne. Detesting the Scions of Zakuul for believing in prophecies and pre-ordained order of things, Arcann ordered the Knights of Zakuul to wipe out the Scions. Most Knights were loyal to the new Emperor and the order was carried out, often with Knights and Exarchs slaughtering the same Scions they served with side-by-side. A number of Scions, led by Heskal, managed to survive and escaped into hiding.
