Shears were a type of cutting tool used for gardening. In 382 BBY, Supreme Chancellor Kyong Greylark used a pair of shears to deadhead her hothouse's flowers. After cutting through many tough stems, the shears had grown dull, so she used a whetstone to sharpen them.
