Shellfish

Shellfish were small sea creatures. The largest of the shellfish native to the tropical planet Anantapar could fit inside the palm of a Human hand. Shellfish came in a variety of colors, including green, and were even painted for display. Additionally, most of their species were edible by Humans, though shellfish from Pamina Prime weren't; ingesting them could cause a fatal disease called Borotavi syndrome.

The Gungan species on Naboo evolved strong teeth to crush shellfish, which became a staple of their diet. Naboo shellfish were served as an appetizer at the Indigo Tower and was one of Haydnat Treen's favorite dishes.

Some individuals believed rotten shellfish could cause hallucinations.

The Sedrians of the planet Sedri used shellfish as components to create their unique melee weapons.
