Sinkholes were large cavities that formed on the surface of several planets including Malastare and Utapau. During the Clone Wars, the detonation of an electro-proton bomb at the Battle of Malastare created a giant sinkhole that unearthed an ancient monster called the Zillo Beast. Several cities, including Pau City on the planet Utapau, were built around sinkholes.
