Spirit of Battle

The Spirit of Battle was a state that Em'liy warriors entered into where they wholly gave themselves over to combat. During a fight, Em'liy allowed the course of a battle to dictate their thoughts and actions, resulting in a ferocity that many other species could not match. Although outside observers likened the state to a form of "berserker" behavior, this was not accurate as Em'liy maintained control of their actions and the Spirit of Battle actually allowed them to refine that control. Jedi historians studying the Spirit of Battle theorized that it was an unexplored manifestation of the Force; however, their theories went untested as their initial investigations began shortly before the Jedi were exterminated.
