A stasis booth was a coffin-like container with a dedicated power generator that produced an entropy field, causing a person's life functions to be suspended. While in a stasis booth, the subject would not age or change in any way, nor would they be aware of their surroundings. Stasis booths were used extensively at Stars' End to store extremely dangerous criminals - with their use being proposed by the Corporate Sector Authority as an effective, though costly, way of detaining Force-sensitive individuals.
