System economist

A system economist was a type of economist who practiced the system economics discipline. During the Galactic Civil War, shifting priorities caused the military of the Galactic Empire to end contracts with the outdated, polluting military industry of Shesharile 5 and Shesharile 6, moons in the Minos Cluster of the Outer Rim Territories. As a result, the pair of moons experienced a rapid economic collapse that was exacerbated by the discovery and introduction by the drug dealer Shlith-dan of an uncommon fungus that had addiction-causing effects in the population of Shesharile 5 and Shesharile 6. System economists subsequently expressed concerns that the economic depression of the Shesharile system moons could expand to other worlds. However, that was unlikely due to the economies of the natural satellites having been relatively specialized.
