Taliff was the governor of Dentaal for the Galactic Empire. After he eliminated the Dentaalian House, its members formed the Dentaal Independence Party and overthrew him in a bloodless coup. In retaliation, Commander Crix Madine wiped out Dentaal's population with the Candorian plague.
