Thanatizine was a drug that would put an individual into a state close to suspended animation. In such a state, a Human would breathe around ten times an hour, and have a heartrate of less than a beat per minute.
On Haruun Kal, it was used to slow down the effects of developing fever wasps so they could be removed.
Another generation of the drug, Thanatizine II, was utilized by Cronal.
