The Cleaver

The Cleaver, also known as The Chopper, was a threat piece used in the Canto Pass game that resembled a knife. It was not worth any points, but it required the player to place one of their boon pieces back onto the board. By 3 ABY, one such piece had been stored in a container at house in the spaceport city Mos Eisley on the Outer Rim desert planet Tatooine. That year, the house was guarded by members of the criminal Hutt Cartel.

In 3 ABY, the thief Kay Vess broke into the house and stole the game piece.
