The Messenger

The Messenger was a trick game piece used in the Canto Pass game that resembled a holopuck. The piece was not worth any points but it allowed the player to choose which opponent could play next. By 3 ABY, one such piece had been stored in a container in the town Wayfar in the Great Chott salt flat region of the Outer Rim desert planet Tatooine by Bulu.

In 3 ABY, a thief named Kay Vess found the container and stole the Messenger piece.
