"The Silent Circle" was a story known to the thief and Rebel Alliance lieutenant Thom Hudd. While being tortured by the Sith attendant Vaneé on Mustafar, Hudd attempted to distract his captor by telling the tale, stating that he had always loved the story. Vaneé, however, had no interest in Hudd's stories and prepared to execute him.
