A Tionese program was a type of computer virus. In 44 BBY, the agents of pirate leader Iaco Stark infected the navigation computers of Senator Ranulph Tarkin's military force with a Tionese program. When Tarkin's forces subsequently jumped into hyperspace, the virus caused two thirds of Tarkin's force to be randomly scattered to destinations across the galaxy.
