A Thisspiasian male held the title of Blood Monarch of the planet Thisspias during the Clone Wars. Per the Thisspiasian tradition, in order to convince the Blood Monarch to lend military aid to the Galactic Republic during the conflict, Jedi Master Oppo Rancisis fought the monarch in unarmed combat and bested him, after which Rancisis' request was granted.
