In 1000 BBY, a calendar was introduced by the Galactic Republic Supreme Chancellor Tarsus Valorum. The zero point of the calendar was the Ruusan Reformation that occurred that year. The calendar remained in use for almost one millennium, until the it was replaced by a new calendar with the Great ReSynchronization of 35 BBY.
