Unidentified ornithologist

An ornithologist was based out of the Mid Rim planet Ruusan by the time of the ongoing struggle between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire. Around 3643 BBY, they offered a substantial reward to anyone who brought them a rare yellow-spotted variety of feathers belonging to the gibbit bird—a type of avian that existed in a symbiotic relationship with rancors, large carnivorous reptomammals originally from the Outer Rim Territories planet Dathomir and present throughout the galaxy.

Around that year, an individual affiliated with one of the sides in the ongoing conflict, seeking to collect the reward, organized a rancor hunt with the help of mercenaries and eventually delivered a large quantity of yellow-spotted gibbit bird feathers to the ornithologist.
