Vaplax

A vaplax was a type of creature whose bite could sting. In 228 BBY, while onboard the Star Hopper cruiser above the planet Valo, Jedi Padawan Ram Jomaram was shot during a battle against the Nihil marauders. Jomaram told the pirate Zyle Keem that he barely felt it, but Keem responded that once the Nihil stopped shooting at them it would sting like a vaplax bite and offered him bampfer ointment for the wound, which Jomaram declined.
