Vella was a journalist active during the Imperial Era. In 3 ABY, when Beol De'Rruyet, head of De'Rruyet Industries, intended to unveil a replica of the ancient Nihil marauder organization device known as the Path engine, Vella was sent to De'Rruyet Center on the planet Midarr to provide a live report. Domina Tagge of the House of Tagge listened to the report aboard her flagship, the Acquisitor.
