Verachen

The Verachen were members of the Vratix race who were responsible for mixing alazhi plants with kavam, creating the bacta healing liquid. "Verachen" was the Vratix word for "master blender."

Although the creation of bacta was not a very difficult process in itself, the potency of the bacta varied because alazhi was a grown plant. A Verachen had mastered the subtleties of the alazhi plants and ensured the quality and efficiency of the final bacta batch. Verachen also understood how to alter the mixing procedure to strengthen the bacta against a specific problem, like the Krytos virus.
