Vessel (cyborg)

A Vessel was a type of cyborg that could store vast amounts of information in their heads, without being able to access it. In legal usage, vessels were simply a form of courier, delivering information to a location at which point the information was removed. Vessels were required to spend a certain period of time as an indentured servant—at least a decade—normally for the corporation that paid for their operation. They were usually strong and well trained so they could protect the information they were carrying. An independent vessel could earn 1000–10,000 credits per mission. One type of implant used by vessels was the Swift 78B Vessel Courier System.
