Victory marker

Legends Canon version → Linked from 1 article

Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.

Victory markers were symbols painted on the side of starfighters to represent the number of kills attributed to its pilots. Rogue Squadron leader Wedge Antilles had a large number of victory markers on the side of his T-65 X-wing starfighter tallying Imperial starfighter and Ssi-ruuk drone kills, bracketed on either side by representations of both of the Death Stars he had faced.
