Vocal enhancer

Legends Linked from 1 article

Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.

The vocal enhancer was designed to enhance or alter the sound or volume of the wearer's voice. Some species used these to make the wearer's voice more understandable. Some vocal enhancers were used for disguising the voice of the wearer. Due to the damage sustained to his respiratory system at Mustafar, Darth Vader used a vocal enhancer to create his deep, ominous voice. In addition, Darth Sidious used this to disguise his voice in 32 BBY.
