White wings

Legends

Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.

White wings was the name given to the set of bolt-on wings made early on in the Clone Wars. They allowed clone commandos to launch themselves into battle. These add-ons were considered by the clone troopers the worst piece of equipment provided by the Grand Army of the Republic, due to their prone to failure and difficultness to use. Because of their white color, they were easy to spot in the air.
