The WORM chip, full name Write-Once-Read-More chip, was a security component that ensured content recorded on it could not be changed. The WORM chip was a component in the Treaty Recording System employed by the Alliance Diplomatic Corps. When used alongside RTZ security filters, it ensured that data recorded by the system could not be modified. WORM chips were also used in Imperial inspection reports once a container had been given an Imperial customs seal.
