The Ancient lair, or Ancient Creature's Lair was a cave used by a Krayt dragon. By 3 ABY, the dragon had abandoned it leaving behind a large cave system. Which had been taken over by a bandit gang. During 3 ABY, the scoundrel Kay Vess raided the cave to retrieve a krayt dragon pearl that was stolen by the bandits from a clan of Tuskens. Vess returned the pearl to the clan in exchange for them releasing the Sullustan gunslinger Hoss, who Vess wished to recruit for a job.
