The Black Vault was a Sith weapon storage space in the armory of the Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant, the Galactic Republic's capital. By 19 BBY, in the waning years of the Republic, Jedi Master Mace Windu wrote in the chronicle of Sorzus Syn about recovering the Tzuhakk broadsword and placing that Sith sword in the Jedi Order's Black Vault. Within the chronicle, Windu's notes were in a Sith weapons section that was later assembled into the Book of Sith.
