Camp Sardo

Camp Sardo, officially known as Imperial Work Settlement #121, was a Wookiee slave labor camp on the planet Kashyyyk run by the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War. Camp Sardo was located near the Wookiee city of Awrathakka and housed the enslaved former residents of the city. Wookiee slaves were used to grow food, breed, fight for entertainment, exploited as disposable slave labor force, and were subject to various Imperial experiments.

The camp was run by Commandant Theodane Sardo and was located at a considerable distance from Grand Moff Lozen Tolruck's Lozen Tolruck's island fortress. A rebel team led by Han Solo and Chewbacca managed to destroy the camp's deflector shield generator. With the help of the former Imperial loyalty officer Sinjir Rath Velus, they managed to free the Wookiee inmates during a massive planetwide Wookiee slave uprising that ended Imperial rule on Kashyyyk.
