The Capacitor was a floating installation in use by the Galactic Empire situated among a hidden base inside a volcano on the planet Sullust. The Capacitor fed on geothermal energy transmitted to it by a dozen transmitters installed into the volcano floor, which produced a shield around it. During the Raid on Sullust, the Rebel flight group Rogue Squadron disabled the shield by destroying all the transmitters, and caused the Capacitor to implode by destroying support columns around the core.
