The Central Palace was an ancient structure on the oceanic planet Ootoola. It was erected before 4000 BBY and had since served both as a temple and the residence of the ruling patriarch. Around 33 BBY, after the Revolutionary Purist Council seized power on the planet, the historic building was destroyed by the smuggler Vilmarh Grahrk from aboard his ship. He hoped that the explosion would not only divert attention from the escape of princess Foolookoola, but also bury the leaders of the revolutionary government under the rubble. Nevertheless, the princess's attendant, Naradan D'ulin, was shocked by Grahrk's actions.

Over the following years, the thrilling tale of Grahrk’s daring mission and the princess’s rescue was retold in cantinas across the Outer Rim Territories among various spacers.
