Dodecapolis was the capital city of the Givin homeworld of Yag'Dhul at least during the Separatist Crisis and the Clone Wars. Givin society had developed extremely advanced technology that supported the construction of cities-shelters made up of hermetically sealed buildings capable of withstanding even the most severe ravages of the planet’s incredible gravitational tidal forces. All Givin cities were located on high mountain peaks, where the danger posed by the rampaging oceans was minimal
