Echo Command Center

Echo Command Center, also referred to as Echo Command, was the central command and war room serving the Alliance's Echo Base. The Command Center directed the Alliance's operations through Echo Base and across the ice planet Hoth and its surrounding system.

During the Battle of Hoth, the command staff serving in Echo Command Center stayed at their posts for as long as possible, directing defense and evacuation efforts. As Imperial troops finally breached Echo Base, Princess Leia Organa told the remaining staff to broadcast the general evacuation code signal and to head for their transports.
